On the 22nd march 2007 in the cinema COCA-COLA Plaza has finished the 5th international festival of animated films BIMINI 2007, there were presented 197 films from 35 countries.

The 4th International Festival of Animated Films BIMINI 2006 has finished on the 9th of April 2006. During the 5 days at the cinema "Daile" there was an opportunity to watch more than 229 animated films from 34 different countries of the world.

Bimini 2005

The 3rd International Festival of Animated Films BIMINI 2005 has finished on the 3rd of April 2005. During the 4 days in the "K.Suns" cinema there was an opportunity to watch more than 150 animated films from 32 different countries of the world. Two juries – children jury and professional jury, who were responsible for nomination of best films and special diploma granting, judged BIMINI animated films.

Bimini 2004

The 2nd International Festival of Animated Films BIMINI 2004 has taken place from the 1st till 4th of April in the cinema "Riga". The program of the Festival included 180 animated films, which were divided into those participating in the competition and those out of it, and also informative and retrospective reviews.

Bimini 2008

The 6th International Festival of Animation Films BIMINI has taken place from 24th till 27th April, 2008 in Georgia in the city of Batumi at the “Cinema Tbilisi”.

Two juriesChildren jury and professional jury, who were responsible for nomination of the best films and special diploma granting judged BIMINI, animated films.

Children Jury
consisted of 6 students from secondary school, aging from 7 to 14 years, they where: Reziko Tsulukidze, Giorgi Turmanidze, Dimitri Diasamidze, Tami Barnovi, Tekla Qoniadze, Mariam Shervashidze. Children jury has nominated the winner in one nomination.

The best film for children – “Insight”, director Salvador Simo Busom (Denmark)

Professional jury consisted from 5 representatives from Latvia, Russia, USA and Georgia: Roze Stiebra (Latvia) - well known animator and producer; Sergey Seregin (Russia)- director from studio Master Film; John Dilworth(USA) – animation director and designer; Vasili (Vasiko) Bedoshvili(Georgia, Russia) - animator and director; Shadiman Chavchavadze - author of screenplays of 18 animated and animated-documentary films.

Jury granted 5 prizes and 4 diplomas:

The Best Film for adults – “Stuart”, director Zepe (Jose Pedro, Cavelheiro) (Portugal)
The Best Abstract / Experimental Film – “Primitive Scene”, director Daniel Faubert (Canada)
The Best applied animation – “Last Time in Clerkenwell”, director Alex Budovsky (USA)
The Best Debut – “Beton”, director Ariel Belinco & Michael Faust (Israel)
The Best Georgian animated film – “A legend about wine”, director Vladimer (Lado) Sulakvelidze (Georgia)

Diploma for the harmony of music and image – “Illuminations”, director Itai Froumin (Israel)
Diploma for the best humor in Animation – “Zoologic”, director Nicole Mitchell (USA)
Diploma for brilliant debut – “Fool girl”, director Zojya Kireeva (Russia)
Diploma for creating special environment – “Lullaby”, director Andrey Zolotukhin (Russia)

Special awards:

Special prize from Animation Development Fund – “Sticky Feet”, director Udo Prinsensen (The Netherlands)
